Intelligent Programming and Design
Programming includes a thermostat designed for ease of use and a SMART mode that automatically adjusts the fans' speed to react to varying temperatures. Behind the unit are ports that can control up to six individual separately sold AC Infinity AIRPLATE cabinet fans and MULTIFAN component fans.
Design and Construction
The AIRCOM T9 features dual-ball bearing blowers rated at 67,000 hours and are certified by CE, UL, and RoHS. Blowers contain a PWM-controlled motor designed to minimize noise during speed variations and are suspended with silicone mounts to absorb vibrations. A low-profile 1.5"-high design allows the unit to fit in applications with a limited height clearance. Aluminum and steel construction enables additional components up to 30 lb to be stacked on top.
Additional Features
  • Designed to protect components from overheating, performance issues, and shortened lifespans
  • LCD thermostat programming with six speed controls, alarm alerts, fan failure triggers, and backup memory
  • Display lock

Need to address the temp in my media closet. The unit runs even when the receiver has not been turned on. It's reacting to the closet temp.

If your AV equipment is in a cabinet you need this!

I have a 7.2 surround receiver with all of the common components (Blu Ray, Amp, DIRECTV, Apple TV etc) which are housed in a cabinet (per my wife's request) that only has front Shutters for ventilation. Because of this I needed additional ventilation for my receiver to ensure it stayed cool. I owned an AV fan similar to this from another company and while it performed well it only lasted a couple of years. I think it's likely because the fan stayed on all day every day. When it came time to look for a replacement I searched many different companies. I found the prices all over the board but I had a few requirements, it needed to vent out the top vs the back, and must have the ability to monitor the air temp and adjust fan speed or come on/off automatically. AC Infinity fit the bill 100% and was priced better than the competition. The one item that I wasn't looking for but love is the fact that this unit can expand by adding additional fans hooked up to the back so if I want to add fans to the cabinet itself I can. The unit itself is very well built, and looks great. It has a built in display that shows everything from fan speed, to settings and temperature. It also has a built in alarm that can alert you if there is a problem. For some you may think this is overkill but when you own a $1k receiver you don't want it getting fried due to the lack of air space around it. The fan noise is minimal, and can get louder as te fan goes faster but this is only the case when the receiver gets hot and that's only when it cranking the volume which obviously drowns out the fan noise, but at normal volume/use, I can't even notice the fan noise. I am moving into a new home in two weeks and will be using this in an AV closet where I know I will need to expand this with some small fans so I hope to write some updates soon!

So Cool!

Well worth the price. Keeps my AVR cooler. Only drawback is when the AVR volume is low at night, I can hear the fan. Aside from that worth every penny.

The AC Infinity AIRCOM T9 A/V Top-Exhaust Component Cooling System is made primarily to cool offer AV equipment like amplifiers inside of AV receivers for example. It is meant to be installed above such a device, so as to remove hot air more quickly. This would not work as ideally in the scenario where you would be using a laptop because of the direction of the air is pulled.

Yes. On the backside of the AIRCOM T8, T9, and T10 models, there are two USB ports. Up to six MULTIFAN or AIRPLATE fans can be plugged into it to share the same programming. A model can contain more than one fan. For example, an AIRPLATE S7 contains two fans so only three AIRPLATE S7s are supported. Before daisy chaining one more fan, please make sure the previous fan speed is set on High speed. For more information refer to the AC Infinity Aircom Series user manual.
