Wacom Intuos Pro Reviews

Buy more affordable and better brands

By Mike

I would strongly avoid buying this product and opt for the more affordable brands. This product continually disconnects from your computer in the middle of working so unless you want to continually restart your computer in the middle of working I would STRONGLY avoid. And customer service from the company is terrible to get a resolution. Absolutely not worth the price.

Great but not perfect

Primary use is video editing and for that it has been a wonder. It's intuitive and fantastic when dipping into AFX or photoshop. I'm so much faster and less constrained by the interface I use. The downsides: - Sometimes the pen isn't recognized or is slow to respond. That's about the only thing I can think of... but it's a big thing.

Creative Necessity

This is my fifth Wacom and the second of this model. Have used them for over 30 years, never a problem. And they all still work. I could not (would not) do my Photoshop work without it.

Can't use 2 hands at same time to draw

By Russell

The title of the review may seem a bit sarcastic, but it is a notice that 2 handed simultaneous use is a basic thing one can do in real life that should be available by now in digital drawing. I am sure there are enough brilliant minds to make this happen and I don't think humanity should have to wait until next century to be able to use 2 hands to draw simultaneously on a computer. So there; no 5 star reviews of ANY digital drawing interface until I can use 2 hands at the same time. To this particular product itself, it DOES have the same issues many have of: 1. USB connection not working sometimes 2. Bluetooth being a bit too laggy to want to use instead of wired. 3. Too easy to accidentally activate buttons and scroll wheel (not sure what to do here except be careful. So the question remains: When will humanity move on to 2 handed input ability with digital pen interfaces?

And I thought Photoshop Had a Steep Learning Curve!

Before ordering my Wacom tablet, I had heard it took some time to learn how to use it, but I had no idea it would be as difficult as it has turned out to be. That's especially true for an older person like myself that has hand tremors. I'm going to keep practicing, but frankly, I may be returning this item to B&H Photo.

I am in a process of learning some AI skills and this tool does great job for now. My intention is to purchase 24Cintiq as a reward for my diligence in acquiring these skills. Wacom makes great products!

Useful, versatile tool for photo editing.

After watching some YouTube videos by photographers I follow who use this tablet and swear by it, I bought one to use for photo/video editing. While there is a learning curve, I find that I'm able to better make fine edits to my photos than I am using a mouse. Dodging and burning, radial masks, etc. are easier and I'm able to be more precise with my edits.

Is it necessary to protect the surface with a protective film? If yes, appreciate model and make please. TIA.
Asked by: Zon Hisham
This is the 2nd Intuos Medium that I have had, this one for abou3 years. I have never covered any with protections, and in fact, I'm not sure there is full-function with any type of cover. The texture is such that stylus points for the included pen react differently on the screen. Mostly, it has a sort-of scratch feeling that a cover would make this not practical, even if it would still work.
