Pelican 1920 MityLite Gen 3 Reviews

Dissapointed

Have owned numerous 1920 units before- friends and relatives seem to borrow them. Was looking forward to the additional lumens in these units. Light is very bright and well constructed - except for the tail cap. Very difficult to operate with one hand as it takes a lot of force to operate the tail cap. My previous units were very easy to use. Don't know if they will become easier to use after a break in period but am not happy with them at this point.

Nice Compact Flashlight

Pros: Pretty nice light for general use. Having high and low light outputs is very nice. High quality construction. Runtime is good for this class of flashlight. Cons: The light is a bit too bulky for EDC use. The Streamlight Stylus pro is far less bulky and fits in a pocket better. The one major gripe is that the flashlight defaults to its full output by default. So if you are in the dark, you get blinded. I much prefer lights that default to low and switch to high with an extra click.

Over the years the importance of a Flashlight has been many times proved over. There are allot of what they call Tactical Flashlights. Whiles these have their intended purpose, but tend to be a little Heavy & Generally Battery Eaters. The Pelican 1920 has hit the mark! Plenty bright, at 220 Lumens, it has a very direct focused beam. Although it's Aluminum I still find it no problem to support it in my teeth, freeing booth my hands too complete a Multitude of task!

Compact and bright. Durable metal barrel was a welcome surprise (I was expecting plastic). It even came with batteries.

It's really well made as one would expect from Pelican. Only issue I have is that the button on back requires a lot of pressure to depress fully. Not a deal breaker at all.

With 2 AAA alkaline batteries, you can get about 2.25 hours of run time on this flashlight at the highest output.
