E-Image GH01 Tripod System Overview

The EG01A2 Two-Stage Aluminum Tripod System from E-Image supports cameras and accessories weighing up to 11 lb. This system includes the AT7402B dual-stage tripod, GH01 pan/tilt fluid head, a pan handle with rubberized grip, rubber feet, and a padded tripod bag. The head and legs feature a 65mm ball/bowl. The fluid head offers a range of 360° pan and 135° tilt. It features a quick release baseplate system for attaching the camera to the head.

The aluminum tripod legs feature three leg sections with individual locks per leg stage. The legs have an integrated mid-level spreader and spiked feet with rubber foot covers. The tripod legs offer height adjustment from 30.5 to 62.75", and collapse down to 33" for transport and storage.

The best bang for your buck

This is my second E Image tripod and I can say it's not a disappointment if you decide to get one yourself. This one is much cheaper than my main E image tripod but the built quality is superb. The spreader doesn't spread far so be mindful of that and it's not as tall. I wouldn't use it has a main tripod but if your looking for a secondary tripod this is the one for a second camera angle on a interview shoot. Don't look any further if this tripod is in your price range get it RIGHT NOW!

Great value and functionality

It works very well and is an especially good value. The pan/tilt head is fairly smooth. The only drawback is the drag adjustment for the pan part and that loses a star. It is a simple knob that is more of a means of locking the tripod from panning rather than adjusting the drag. It does adjust a bit but not much. So, it goes from locked to not much drag for panning. Other than that, it works well.

Hi all, I was shopping for professional tripod for our church, Bethel Haitian Baptist Church, East Orange, New Jersey. I found this E-Image EG01A2 Two-Stage Aluminum Tripod System with GH01 Pan/Tilt Fluid Head. It is smooth, stable, level on uneven platform, and easy to use. Compared to our current expensive ones, I will definitely recommend this particular Tripod because someone our cameras are damaged in the past due to unstable tripods. This is a safe pick. Protect your investment! God bless

This tripod rocks. Really well made, stable and has all the basic functions. Very similar to the old Vinten I used to haul around in the 90's in terms of functionality. I'm totally psyched I got this one. Exactly what I needed for both photography and videography.

The tripod is nice. He only thing that I wish was different is that I wish it would have been a little taller. It did come just the way it was described. It also has a nice carrying bag.

For the money, this tripod is excellent. I own one, myself, and purchased a second for work. More full review, before I purchased a second tripod is here: https://youtu.be/KsEE4guDCes At this price, buying anything is more about what you sacrifice rather than what you gain, and this tripod offers very little sacrifice. There's a quality bowl, which makes leveling easy, solid build quality, a 3-stage design to set the height how you want it, smooth movement from the fluid head, and even options on the feet to use it on varied terrain. The fluid head is not the best I've used, although the weight limit is generous, it's not heavy to hard to move around, and it can be locked and has tension adjustments for tilts and pans. I can think of small things that could be improved, but they're all small, which makes this a big win at this price.

This tripod is just fine for small cameras BUT...There is no locking mechanism for the tripod plate! This is not safe for anything bigger than an A7III.

This has a 65mm Bowl Size which is removable. However it is not a common size for tripod heads that we sell.

Does it only come with the core 20 screw?

Hello,The EG01A2 does indeed only come with a 1/4-20 mounting screw. It is designed for very lightweight systems, like DSLR and Mirrorless cameras, so instead of a 3/8-16 mount there is an anti-rotation pin installed on the quick release plate.
