Point Source Audio ADP-PHX4F Reviews

Cable was miswired upon arrival

I ordered 2 cables. When they arrived, 1 worked and 1 did not. We opened the XLR sides of the cables to find they were wired differently. Luckily soldiering is not an issue and we re-wired the non-working cable to match the working one. In the end all was fine, but clearly these were not QC'd or tested before sending. Wasted a couple valuable hours on-site.

Exactly what I needed

Needed this so I can stop using the usual PL Headset from pressing down on my ear. Using regular headphones with mic now!

I tied to use with our Clear-Comm broadcast system instead of using headset. I connected two different sets of earbuds. I could hear perfectly, but microphone did not work. Is it just a bad adapter? It should work correct?
Asked by: Bob
This cable can work to adapt a smartphone headset with a 3.5mm TRRS to use with a Clear-Com beltpack transmitter. Perhaps your earbuds may have a 3.5mm TRS connector, which is wired differently than TRRS. Without knowing the types of components you are trying to use together, it is difficult to determine whether or not this adapter is compatible. Please contact us by phone or through live chat so that we can assist you to find the appropriate adapter for your application.

The Point Source Audio ADP-PHx4F PSA Headset Adapter Cable has a standard size 4-pin female XLR connector on one side and a 3.5mm female TRRS connector on the other side. The front side of the XLR connector is very similar to the Neutrik connector shown in this photo: https://static.bhphoto.com/images/images500x500/1257765397_407960.jpg

Using a TRRS turnaround adapter, think I could I use my beyerdynamic DT280 80ohm headsets into my computer headset jack?
Asked by: Gregory
Please check the gender of the 4-pin XLR connector on your headset. If it is a female connector (which I believe it is), then the Point Source Audio ADP-PHx4F adapter will not work. Instead, you can use the Point Source Audio ADP-4MxPH PSA Headset Adapter Cable 4-Pin Male XLR to 3.5mm Male TRRS (B&H # POADP4MXPH) which should work properly with your computer's 3.5mm jack.
