Dracast Softbox for LED500 Pro Reviews
easy to use
its okay
Works as advertised... Diffuser is easy to mangle a bit.
Works like it's supposed to... you stick the pins of the softbox into the frame, and then attach the diffuser, and you're good to go. The diffuser itself is a little fragile, or easy to be blemished. The material doesn't flex particularly well, so you can't really fold it for storage. I had originally hoped to store this in the bag that the light came in, but it's just a bit too hard to cram it all in there. I'm just leaving it all assembled and in a box to store it.
Not great
A little difficult to mount. Diffuser is not a silk so it's to much better than putting on tough frost with barn doors, except you won't loose any C-47's
It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and does it well!
Many softboxes are not well made, and are falling all over the place, and need constant adjustment because the hardware is poorly designed. This baby's hardware was built with lots of thought, build like a rock, and diffuses light beautifully.
A bit lacking.
I love the design of most Dracast products, but this one disappointed me. Difficult to set up and take down (making it really only suitable for use in the studio, not great for in the field). It also didn't slide into the light very smoothly, doesn't have a locking mechanism to keep it in the light, and is a bit small so it doesn't soften the light as much as I'd hope.
great soft box
Great little box - well made! Would buy again...
Great.
I bought 2 of them. Easy to install and efficient.
Overpriced!!! And still on sale.
It does a great job, but not for the price it is.
