RucPac Professional Tech Gloves Reviews
Good gloves, specific purpose
I wanted gloves to protect my hands from wind when handling photo gear. These gloves satisfied the main requirements: wind resistance, tactile sense to allow for manipulating dials and feel surfaces without slippage, and the touch screen pads on index fingers and thumbs works well. The fit is sleek and comfortable. I usually take a size Large but the fingers are slightly too long. still better than too short. They are definitely not winter gloves, but will still be useful for transition periods. They may also be useful as liner gloves to be used in a system during colder weather.
Seen better quality gloves at Dollar shops
The material is extremely flimsy and basically seem like made of cheap clothes. No idea why it is priced so high. Bought it at half off and still returning it because it's too expensive.
Perfect for Flying Drones
I bought these gloves to fly my drone in cool weather and be able to interact with the touch screen of the controller. It works but you have to be deliberate in your touch to ensure enough pressure is placed on the screen. I've been wearing them in 35+ degree weather and they provide enough protection to stay comfortable outside for 30-45 minutes at a time.
Useless touchpads
As gloves these are ok. Fairly warm and comfortable. The problem is the touchpads on the finger and thumb. The finger pad works somewhat, the thumb barely at all. And they are not big enough to actually work for any pinching movements. To pinch you use the side of your thumb, which is not at all covered with the touch pad material. I have had other gloves that worked with any part of any finger. These are basically not usable as described.
Quality
I got these on sale and I think that's just a bit too high of a price considering the quality of these gloves. They work on a regular cold day but once it gets too cold that's about it.
Very good Quality!
these are the best pair I have had in years,I use them for astronomy and they help keep my hands warm and prevent my fingers from getting number, after all I must be visual and take photos and tinker with my stuff in the freezing cold of new england!
