The Impact EX Portrait Kit was put together by B&H as an almost textbook example of the many creative options that you can achieve with only one light source and the right modifiers. The kit is built around the 100Ws EX-100A monolight, which comes with a 7" reflector, 24 x 24" softbox with speedring, and a sync cord. An 8' light stand is provided to support the kit's 67" telescopic arm with built-in spring clips to hold the included Impact 32" 5-in-1 reflector.
The Impact One-Monolight Kit (120 VAC) is an economical 100-watt/second monolight with modeling light and power variator. This kit includes a softbox with mounting ring, to soften the light output.
The Impact Telescopic Collapsible Reflector Holder is ideal for mounting reflectors such as Impact, Flexfill, or Photoflex light discs up to 60" to a light stand. It mounts to any stand that has a 5/8" diameter top stud. It includes a 5/8" female stand adapter with female 3/8" and 1/4"-20 threads for stands topped with those threads.
Alternately, it can hold a small light head to an extension of almost 3' from the center of your light stand (with the addition of a 3/8" to 5/8" adapter, not included).
This two-handle 32" 5-1 Circular Collapsible Reflector with Handles from Impact adds a polished-looking quality of light to your photos or videos. The reflector is built around a translucent disc which doesn't reflect as much as the solid white surface, but does exhibit soft neutral reflection. Its primary purpose, however, is as a diffuser that will tame contrast by being held over a subject's head in the harsh noon-day sun. The disc can also be used in situations where you'd use a softbox. Using a disc holder or one of the 3/8" sockets, place your flash or constant light behind the suspended disc for soft, flattering light with open shadows.
The 5-in-1 reflector has handy convenience features that make it easy to use and deliver impressive results, while saving space by folding down to approximately one third of its open size. Impact's smart design provides ergonomic handgrips that allow you to hold the disc in a flat or U-shaped position, or in any way that gets the job done. Each of the grips has additional 3/8"-16 threaded sockets for attachment to accessories or grip equipment. The 5-in-1 Reflector comes with a carry/storage case.
The surfaces are available as removable, reversible sleeves that slip over the disc. Silver offers very high reflective qualities that render a snappy high-contrast look with a cool color bias. Just the opposite, the Gold surface reflects a very warm quality; similar to late afternoon or sunset light. The Black fabric subtracts light from the subject, and can be used to block out unwanted light or to greatly reduce reflections on shiny or reflective surfaces. Finally, the flat White surface provides neutral reflectance with a soft quality of light.
This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.
