question

I would like to know if anyone has had success using this for capturing lightening strikes? I see that Eric has answered for the seller or mfg, but I would like to hear from users of the product.
Asked by: David
Greetings. I received my unit in January and lightening storms are not common in this part of Canada. However I set up an experiment using another flash to trigger the intervalometer to in turn triggering the camera mounted receiver and its flash. I also conducted this experiment directing the lightening flash both directly and indirectly (away and behind) the Capture Pro Module. Hence I'll take a leap and say YES it will most likely work w lightening. I'm sure there may be exceptions.

Does this work with the sony a7c as a remote ...

Does this work with the sony a7c as a remote intervalometer for longer exposure intervals (since the brainiacs at Sony decided not to put a remote port on the a7c)?
Asked by: Therese
Unfortunately the folks at Sony decided the a7c didnt need a remote port. And, to make matters worse, the internal intervalometer only goes up to 60 secsnot helpful for astral, or a lot of other things. So no this wont in the end work. Beware the a7c.

question

Does this come with the necessary cable for Nikon? If not what cable should I order? Thank you.
Asked by: Ted H.
You would need to purchase a cable separately. Which to go with would depend on what camera you have. There are options for cameras with 10-pin, DC2, and DC1 accessory ports. If you arent sure about your cameras accessory port, you could send us an email. [email protected]bhphoto.com

question

hello. Captur cable connected to the Elinchrom D-Lite is flashing or not?
Asked by: Yezidt T.
This is designed to trigger a camera, not a flash. If the flash is connected to the camera, the camera would tell the flash when to sync. Most lightning/sound/laser/IR triggers have a way so you can time the exposure by a few seconds/milliseconds in either direction to ensure you catch the action you need (such as a few milliseconds before to get a ballon right as it is popped, or a few milliseconds after so the ballon is popped, but the water inside the ballon still retains the ballon's shape)

What cable will connect the module directly to ...

What cable will connect the module directly to the remote trigger port on my Fujifilm GFX 100s? Both sockets are 2.5 mm sub-mini. I bought the Impact with both ends 2.5 mm (from B&H, Impact RSC-P1-25) but one end has three black bands and the two devices do not communicate.
Asked by: Howard
The cable to use has a 2.5mm TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve) connection at both ends. The Impact IMC2.5CANSM would be a good option, https://bhpho.to/2UwH3Lt.

question

I understand the IR beam transmitter can be set to a high or low setting. Does the transmitter go into a low power stand-by mode when not being activated? For example, if this was set up over-night would the battery quickly drain? Thanks!James B.
Asked by: James B.
I set the units up on my desk with fresh charged batteries to test and they ran for almost 6 days with it in high power mode.
