Ideal for location interviews, B&H has put together this V-mount Dracast Pro Series LED1000 Daylight 2-Light Kit. The kit is comprised of two Pro Series LED1000 daylight lights, each with a multi-voltage power adapter, a case, and a light stand.

Dracast Pro Series LED1000 Daylight LED Light Panel (V-Mount)

At 5.4 lb the Pro Series LED1000 Daylight LED Light Panel from Dracast is an ideal choice for studio or location work where color accuracy, control, and flicker-free output are of major importance. This 12 x 12" panel is significantly larger than the Pro Series LED500 unit. The LED1000's daylight-balanced output is well suited to outdoor work or for color-matching HMI fixtures, while its high CRI of 96 renders colors with precision and fidelity. Dimming from 0 to 100% is conveniently done with a back-panel knob that adjusts the output with negligible color shift. The low electrical draw of 60W means a timely return on your investment.

The durable anodized aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. This LED1000 can be used worldwide thanks to its 100 to 240 VAC power adapter. You can also use the onboard V-mount battery plate with 14.8 VDC batteries when mains power is unavailable. Accessories include optional 4-way barndoors for contouring and control of the LED1000's 45° beam angle. A carry case is included for convenient storage and portability.

Dracast DLS-805 Spring-Cushioned Light Stand (6')

The DLS-805 Spring-Cushioned Light Stand from Dracast extends from 28.5" to 72" and has a load capacity of 13 lb. It folds down to 28.5" for transport, and weighs 3.4 lb. There is a 5/8" stud on top of the stand.

The stand is composed of lightweight aluminum and is anodized to cut down on reflections. It is spring-cushioned to keep lighting fixtures damage-free when lowering. Large knobs are easy to grip and allow for quick, smooth adjustments.

I purchased these two months ago and one panel doesnt work at all now and the other one has a whole section of LEDs that dont work. They look quality out of the bag, but Im pretty bummed

This is just the perfect kit for every professional photographer! I have always had to transport my equipments via various means So imagine the happiness in me knowing there is a kit with so many advantages. This is so easy to carry around (as i tend to move around alot! The job requires it!), i always set it up in so little time ( makes my work faster) and it has this cool stuff that i can actually dim the lights to a brightness of my choice (I love that)! It's really durable, the lights don't give any funny colors while in use and another great thing is the fact that after hours of work and i need to move to another location, i can pack the lights easily as they don't produce heat even with the large amount of work i put it to (which is very important for me)!!!

This lighting kit is great! I've been looking for something to take around with me while I'm traveling so I don't have to lug around all my stuff, but something that still has the quality I'm looking for. It's easy to take around, set up, and is REALLY great quality -especially for something portable. The colour accuracy is flawless, no weird tints going on when shooting, looks very natural. NO flickering, dim control, and actually really simple to use. I really recommend this kit for any kind of photographer or filmmaker!

Pretty good Astra alternative

I got the daylight version because I wanted to get maximum luminance out of my lights. The bi-color lights have half tungsten and half daylight LED's so you will only get about half the power out of those if you are shooting full daylight or full tungsten.� Along with my lights I ordered the barn doors, gels, and� D-Fuse DF-1L soft boxes. All of which are great additions and I recommend that you get them to go along with these lights. The Lights: The color of the light is good, my last shoot I used 2 Kino 4x4's to light a white background and these two lights to light my subject. The LED1000's matched the color of the kino's pretty well (Kinos are actually 5500k). The output of the lights is good enough for a single person interview. Not as bright as Astras but still a pretty darn good alternative for the price.� The build quality of the lights are great. I'm confident that they will last a long time. The power cords are nice and long.� My main complaint is that when I put the softbox on the front of the light, you are unable to angle the light down because the softbox hits the bottom of the bracket. In order to get around this you have to mount the lights on the stands in the sideways position. This isn't a problem with regular c-stands but the stands that come with these lights will 100% fall over in their fully extended position if you have them mounted like that.� The stands: You aren't buying this kit for the stands but they are nice to have. They are about 6' tall. Like I said before, when I mount the lights in their sideways position the stand bends and will eventually fall if you aren't super careful. Nothing a sandbag wont fix though. If the lights are mounted in their straight up position then you don't get this problem. Also, the stands are only 6' tall so if you want to do a standing interview then you are probably going to need to get some c-stands.� The bags: Pretty good. They fit my lights, the lights power brick, the barn doors, my softboxes, and gels all in one spot. The build quality is nice too.� Overall: These are pretty good alternatives to Astra 1x1s. I bought them mainly to use for single person interviews and so far they have worked well. They are compact and powerful enough to use in many different situations. I attached a couple pix of actual people being lit by these lights for your enjoyment!

Great throw, strong build, perfect color, the future of LED

I've been a devout proponent of tungsten-based lighting for close to two decades - I finally decided to give LED a try for my corporate gigs that have limited circuits, space and time, and after looking at some tests online, these Dracast 1x1s seemed to be the best bang for the buck. Can confirm, they are. Beautiful 5600K light without that usual green or pink spike you see, the power of these things is intense, the dimming is precise and the color temperature doesn't seem to waver even on the lower end. They are light in weight, come in a nice portable zipper bag with shoulder strap for easy transport. The stands are a very small when packed up, and while I would have preferred they had a bit more height or another riser, they are strongly built and provide good stability at the base - better than I was expecting. It's a great package overall, and these lights now will be my go-to when doing corporate. They create a bright, soft light right out of the box, although I'd recommend a sheet of diffusion on each to soften the kind of pixel-looking shadow that an array of LED lights creates (it also helps for eye lights and for not blinding your subject with a thousand small dots). At only 60w with a tungsten 1000w equivalent, these things are invaluable in small spaces where power is limited and you don't want to turn the room into a sauna with hot tungsten lights. After 20 years and trying these lights, I might just now be an LED convert. Long live the new flesh!

Do these lights flicker when shooting 240fps?

These lights only flicker when you turn them on and off really really fast. ha ha!! Seriously though, they do not flicker (or at least, they SHOULD not flicker).
