question

Hello, I couldn't find exact weight of this product. I just found the package is around 2.65 kg and that the stabilizer is heavy by itself. But what is the weight of the stabilizer? Thank you
Asked by: zuzana s.
The item itself is about 2.25 pounds. The weights are half a pound each with eight weights total. If you're using it with a heavy camera and all the weights to counter, it could easily get pretty heavy.

question

Do I need to purchase any additional accessories for my Canon EOS T5i DSLR?
Asked by: Anonymous
When i put my t3i on it it was a little unbalanced because my camera wasn't heavy enough to balance two counter weights. If you have this problem a quick solution I used was to flip the screws around and put a weight in the bottom center and slightly lower the pole if needed. I recently got a battery grip though and this has managed to add enough weight to balance both sides out with two weights.

question

Would this hold the URSA Mini + 18-35 1.8 & Switronix HyperCore Slim? :)
Asked by: Tobias
That camera+lens+battery combination weighs 8.88lbs. The Autopilot's weight capacity is 6.0lbs. So, unfortunately the answer is no. Based on specs, the Glidecam HD4000 Stabilizer System B&H # GLHD4000 is rated for 10lbs so it may do the trick.

question

I'm curious as to how this would compare to a 3 axis stabilizer? I know this is a great cost advantage here, but just thought I'd ask. Thank you.
Asked by: Lynn R.
Non-Motorized Stabilizers like this product from ProAm USA and Motorized Gimbal stabilizers essentially do the same job. The difference is that Non-Motorized options take a bit more practice and patience to learn how balance and use as they do not have a battery to compensate.
